Bonanza Exotic Zoo Khaoyai in Thailand

The zoo is very clean and lovely. There are many animals, birds, tigers Lok species. Zoo staff, nice clean smell. Ideal for family holiday.

This was a low budget but high value experience which I didn't expect much but was very pleasantly surprised. For 350 baht for 2 people which includes a golf cart ride throughout the park I was totally pleased with the diversity and cleanliness of this zoo. The presentation of the animals was done in a completely professional way which made it fun for all. Again, I was impressed with the volume and diversity of the animals on display given the low budget fare of the ticket. The animals seemed to be clean and well taken care of; they were engaging and fun to view. The park offered various foods to buy to feed to the animals and I was impressed with that as well. Again, I didn't expect much coming in here but was so impressed with what I got out of it given the price per head. I would not hesitate on returning in the future !

First of all, the location of this small zoo is great. They have many interesting animals. Unfortunately, it is not always well kept. Many of the animals lack space: the orang-utan looked so miserable, the tiger from Bengal seemed to be lacking space too. They have a fabulous collection of marmosets. They are so friendly and yet they were all enclosed in a glass cage. The deer, the peacocks seem okay, as well as the poneys and the sheep. But all in all, this type of zoo would need to be entirely rethought and revamped. It reminded me of a small African zoo near Hammamet in Tunisia. It is comparable to this one but its concept was entirely different and more pleasant.

The zoo is clean and animals look healthy. However, some animals like birds don't get enough attention, I think. Some cages are too small. Poor eagles, they can spread their wings but can't fly anywhere. The zoo needs more benches and places for visitors to sit and get away from the sun because it's pretty hot there. Food for animal is pretty expensive, compared to the quantity of the food that we can feed them.
